Fasting is a spiritual discipline that is taught in the Bible. Jesus expected His followers to fast, and He said that God rewards fasting. Fasting, according to the Bible, means to voluntarily reduce or eliminate your intake of food for a specific time and purpose. To strengthen prayer, To seek God's guidance and To express grief.
DEALING BIBLICALLY WITH TEMPTATION
The temptation to sin is something all of us face as Christians, no matter how long we've been following Christ. The Lord Jesus taught His disciples to ask God, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (Matthew 6:13 ESV). If you ask God to help you avoid temptation, then you should also be vigilant to stay away from tempting situations.
BIBLICAL MEDITATION
A devotional practice that we engage in with God’s help to know Him better, love Him more, experience closer communion with Him, and live for His glory.
''This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.'' Joshua 1:8 (ESV)
