Fasting is hungering for God. When you fast food, you help create a deeper hunger for God activating your spiritual hunger hormone. It may not feel enjoyable physically when we fast, but you are fulfilling your spiritual hunger.
FAITH, FAITHLESSNESS, UNFAITH
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
GRACE AND JUDGEMENT
The Bible describes God's dealings with man in a series of covenants. Biblical covenants are like the constitution of the Kingdom of God. When we receive these saving ordinances and keep the associated covenants, the Atonement of Jesus Christ becomes effective in our lives, and we can receive the greatest blessing God can give us-eternal life. Consequences and judgments are for all.
WHY DID JESUS COME - PART 2
Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.
NO INCARNATION, NO SALVATION
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
RECONCILIATION IN CHRIST
Reconciliation is by the will of God and his forgiveness of the sins of all the people who would ever believe. Reconciliation happens by the obedience of faith. Christian reconciliation is the work of God through Christ by which He restores mankind to a favorable relationship with Himself.
PRINCIPLES OF BIBLICAL RESTORATION
Honest and straightforward acknowledgement of failure. Restoration hinges on the honest and straightforward admission of the wayward soul’s failure. Sin can never be addressed if it is not named.
RESTORATION NEHEMIAH PART 3
Christ was sent from the Father to prepare the heavenly Jerusalem. Christ's work was done in such a way that it would last forever. Revelation 21:1-4 says, "And Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.[c] 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
